The Beckoning Below

This is my entry for the “Beyond the Map” hideout competition.

In The Beckoning Below, something is calling you down, deep and deeper.

The bathysphere stops at a beautiful reef, but you go deeper. The corals and the light become sparse. Something watches you among bones and wreckage. DEEPER.

It is pitch black. Almost alien creatures of gigantic size make this trench their home, glowing faintly through the darkness. But what is that mysterious green glow? That flickering light inside a huge cave at the very bottom?

It is, at last, the Allflame. But this was no cave. You notice too late, as the maw closes around you.
