Step 1
Choose the right hideout
Open a hideout on HideoutHub and check its game, Hideout Base, and listed MTX before downloading it. A PoE1 file belongs in PoE1 and a PoE2 file belongs in PoE2.
Loading HideoutHub
Gathering the finest hideouts...
Download a community layout, select the correct base in-game, and load the design through Path of Exile's hideout editor.
Speak to Helena to switch to the Hideout Base required by the downloaded design.
Speak to Alva to switch to the Hideout Base required by the downloaded design.
Step 1
Open a hideout on HideoutHub and check its game, Hideout Base, and listed MTX before downloading it. A PoE1 file belongs in PoE1 and a PoE2 file belongs in PoE2.
Step 2
Use the download button on the hideout page. Keep the .hideout extension intact so the game can recognise the file in the import window.
Step 3
Importing changes the active layout. If you want to keep your current work, open the hideout editing controls and export it before continuing.
Step 4
In Path of Exile 1, speak to Helena. In Path of Exile 2, speak to Alva. Select the same Hideout Base shown on the HideoutHub download page.
Step 5
Enter the selected base, open the hideout editing controls at the bottom-right of the screen, and choose Import.
Step 6
Choose the downloaded .hideout file and confirm. Walk through the layout afterwards and check the Map Device, crafting utilities, NPCs, and any missing decorations.
Confirm that the filename ends in .hideout. A renamed .txt file will not be recognised as a hideout export.
This usually means your character was standing where a decoration needed to be placed. Move the decoration slightly so your character is free, then move it back into position or import the hideout again.
A hideout file does not grant decorations or MTX. Items you do not own or that are unavailable in your game version will not be placed.
Check that you downloaded the correct game version and revision. Also review the hideout page for required MTX, decorations, and the intended Map Device.
Browse the community library and download a .hideout file.
